Shaping the Region’s Future

On April 4, 2025, the Southland Career & Technical Education Center hosted its inaugural SCTEC Summit, bringing together superintendents, educators, industry partners, elected officials, and community leaders from across the region. The Summit provided a collaborative space to review SCTEC’s vision, discuss workforce needs, and align on the next steps for building high‑quality career pathways for Southland students.

Participants explored program concepts, regional partnerships, and the transformation of the former Rich East High School campus into a modern career and technical education hub. The Summit marked a key moment of momentum and shared commitment toward expanding opportunities and strengthening the Southland’s future workforce.
